My name is Matthijs. I’m at the age of 18 and I am currently in the last year IT at the Immaculata Instituut Oostmalle. On this blog you will find some information about the Teacher Aid 3.0 project, GIP-tasks and personal experiences. Enjoy.
Belgium is a great and bilingual country. ( Dutch & French)
Yet, we haven’t got a government since 17 February 2010.
That’s a world record, but not really something to be proud of.
We excel in sports. Like Kim clijsters and Justine Henin. When they meet, they have to speak english because they don’t speak each others languages.
We have great food, like french fries and chocolate.
We’ve got some nice beers aswell.
All Belgian Trappist abbeys have a brewery: Achel, Chimay, Orval, Rochefort, Westvleteren and Westmalle. All these breweries had discrete beginnings, but in the course of time these breweries became profitable. They gradually expanded and the monastic communities have been given the opportunity to not only provide for their own upkeep, but also to be generous in benevolence and hospitality. In contrast to other breweries, making a profit is not their objective. Hence they spend what is left over on charitable work and people in need.
Summarized, Belgium is awesome.
